How does villager trading work?

I have dreamies I am looking for and ppl on the forums seem to trade villagers? how do they do this?? also I didnt know if I should create this in villager marketplace or not...

Basically how it works is sometimes villagers will say they are moving out on x day. After you know they are moving out, you can try to find them a new home. When the day they are leaving comes, another player can come and take that villager. Are you still confused?

Boxes day is the day a villager will move out, Issable will notify you that the villager is leaving when you start up the game and the villager will have packed up all of their belongings into boxes. Once a villager is in boxes to move out another player can come to town to talk to the villager and have them move into their town. You can only ask a villager to move in to your town if you have 9 or fewer villager and there cannot be a plot in your town. A plot is a little fence area that a villager will place into your town to mark as the spot where they will be moving into the next day.

The best way is to either time travel until they ping you, or just ignore them completely

Getting rid of a villager quickly and effectively would be cycling them out, if you're at 10 villagers you will probably be getting a mover every 4-5 days. I have a cycling method I use in my main town, if you need any advice on it. All these tips about ignoring villagers, being best friends with them, even attacking them with your net don't work....it's entirely random who moves out and when. Tt'ing is the fastest way to do it

I have a question. If you do not play your game for a while, does the mover every 5 days still happen? Because that would be horrible if I am losing a villager every 2 weeks or something.

Or do they only move if they get to tell you?

I just want to know in case I can't play for a while. ^_^

Yes, a villager can still move out if you don't play. However, if you stop playing on a day where you've stopped someone from moving, then no one will move out. If you aren't going to play for an extended period of time, wait until someone mentions leaving, stop them, and do not reload your game until you are ready to play again.
