How does this work?

Hi, my daughter is 9. We are from the UK. She really needs more nookmile tickets. She’s looking for villagers. I signed up to try and buy some or trade but I don’t understand how this works.

Unfortunately you cannot trade Nook Mile Tickets with other players. Although getting them is fairly simple. Depending on where your daughter is up to in the game, she should have an app on her NookPhone (click ZR to get to NookPhone) with a raccoon as the image. That is where you can redeem Nook Mile Tickets by doing tasks. In-game, once you have gotten a house you will have access to daily goals. These are easier to do, although the long term ones usually give more at once. I really hope this helps you and your daughter! And let me know if you need a more in depth explanation!

Thank you. Yes she knows how to redeem them it just takes very long. We previously used Nookazon and people sold nookmiles tickets but it doesn’t work for us anymore. I thought this will be the same sort of thing. Thank you for replying though!

What do you mean it doesn’t work? Like specifically what part? Because as long as you have Nintendo Switch Online (and find a good deal that isn’t shady lol) you should just be able to fly to their island to pick them up.

Also on Twitch some people host free Treasure Islands and you can just go to them and get as many as you want for free.

Also when I said Nook Mile Tickets I meant Nook Miles sorry about that you can trade the tickets just not the currency!

I don’t have twitch but that sounds great so might make an account thanks. Also how do you trade here ? It says I have to select who I want to trade with but what if I don’t know anyone ?

I’m confused on how you are trying to trade because I don’t think you have to select anyone. If you are trading in New Horizons it’s be done in the “Nook’s Cranny” section of the website.

Hi, there’s a section called trading but that’s not what you’ll need, not sure what that is. You can make a post in the Nook’s Cranny section offering to trade for some nook mile tickets. Once you agree on something, you can work out a time that works and they can visit your island or you theirs, the actual trading takes place in the game

Getting the miles is a pain. I accumulated a ton of them over the course of launch year before they actually introduced anything worth spending them on. I think most of us did. So when year 1 Halloween brought new reactions/hairstyles and other events did the same, I already had enough to buy the packages and then some.

Then I got serious with decorating and made additional villagers and it was a struggle to get any miles lol. So I get why so many opted to just trade the tickets.

But yes you can trade for them. A lot of members here prefer tbt so you might have to get some forum currency to do a trade.

Yeah I confused myself too! But yeah I eventually realised I meant that lol!
