How does the time of day in dreams work?

Is it like in new leaf where whatever the time and weather conditions are at the time you choose to upload your dream are? Or can I manually set what time I want it to be on the island when visitors dream?

Just asking before I upload my dream, because I’d like it to be just after sunset.

It's the same as NL, the time you upload your dream will be the time for visitors

I just tested and there are no fireworks! Sad but makes sense

yeah I was about to make that prediction. That's how it would work in NL. If you uploaded during say New Years or any Fireworks Show then the fireworks wouldn't appear in the dream.

It's interesting that fireworks don't work since I think shooting stars do. o: I've been to a few that uploaded during shooting stars.

I guess meteor showers must count as "weather" rather than a special event, so they stay in the dream. Neat to learn about that

Oh, that's all good to know! I guess I've only ever visited dreams that were uploaded at night so far, since I thought the weather/time was always clear nights

Ooooh I had no idea that the time you uploaded your dream was the time in which other people would see it. I thought it just reflected whatever time of day it was currently in that person’s time zone.
Interesting information! Now I have no idea what time of day I want people to see lol.

I think in general the island looks better with sunlight... however some parts like my enchanted forest definitely look better at night so you can see the glow of the star fragments and hyacinth lamps... tough decision.
