How does the shop work?

Hello, I was wondering how the ship works. I never see anything in there except tasty cake.

Like does it just sell too fast or do they just not stock it?

I'm seeking a cake between certain dates, and I don't want to waste time searching for it if it's not available. If I had an understanding on how the shop worked, that would help greatly.

The collectibles get restocked at random (except the birth stones which are switched each month). This way the items keep their worth, and are more challenging to get.

If you’re looking for a specific date, you can go to the “TBT Marketplace” in the forum, and make a post looking to buy that specific date. Whatever you buy right now from the shop will have the date you bought it on.

Okay, that makes sense, ty.

And yeah, I have a post, I just didn't know how the shop worked and didn't know if there was a certain mechanic. Ty it helps for sure.

also a lot of the collectibles in the shop do not get restocked unless the staff announces it (like the apple, peach, cherry, regular and choco cakes, houses, toy hammer, etc) so for the most part the only collectibles you can get guaranteed are the ones that are always in stock.

I'm also not sure if regular cakes were released in Dec 2020, there is a collectible timeline thread in the TBT Marketplace board that has all the dates for when collectibles were available so you could check there and see if it's available.

edit: I'm sorry, apparently the collectible timeline thread hasn't been updated in well over a year. I'm still not sure if there are Dec 2020 cakes so maybe just keep looking and hopefully one comes along.
