So TBT, how do you sleep? Just something I am curious about. I have been talking with a few friends about their sleep habits and they all seem to be different....

I cannot sleep on my back due to some very uncomfortable back pain that ensues. I also prefer my side so I can cuddle pillows, blankets, people...

depends.

before i got sick for like 174216463267237 years i could sleep on my side with ease.

but now that i've got all this **** wrong with me. i can only lay on my side for about 10-20 mins before all the blood rushes to the side of my head and i get a headache/feel faint. then i have to switch to the other side, and repeat until i fall asleep.

though if i lay on my back i dont seem to have the problem, but i've never been able to sleep on my back - same with my stomach.

also not relevant but for some reason i hate the feel of my knees touching each other, so i have to shove a pillow between them LOL

I sleep on my side. Most often I'll wake up lying on my right side.

I can't sleep on my back and idk why because sleeping on your side's ain't that great. And I roll over so much. And I don't get enough sleep lately.

I'm a VERY active sleeper, there have been times i wake up sleeping on the other side of my room XD.

After a few yoga courses my instructor told us this was the best side to rest on. Due to the fact that it allows improved circulation as your heart doesn't have to pump against gravity as much....

How much you believe it is up to you, but I think it's just more comfortable. But if it improves my circulation I am all for it!

I used to sleep on my stomach all the time but uh h h h yeah stuff happened, and now I sleep on my back, my side, and my stomach (sometimes). Hhhaah There's so much stuff on my bed right now, books, bags, papers, clothes.. etc etc.. that right now I'm actually sleeping straight and not moving around.
When there was no stuff on my bed, I would sleep straight and the next morning I would wake up with everything on the floor and myself on the opposite side.

but yeah, active sleeper

All of the above, I'm an active sleeper.

I'd have to say, after a long day of work just laying down on my back and feeling it stretch out is soooo good. At the moment I'm working on not sleeping on my belly any more. It's very hard because I'm so used to it and to suddenly have to stop is harder than I thought. I love sleeping on my sides with a pillow between my arms or legs, because cuddle sessions.

Something that has helped me to not flip over onto my belly is to surround myself with pillows on all sides of me. Somehow I just don't seem to budge much.

@Above people who can't sleep on their bellies anymore: Belly piercing?

Hahaha oh jeez. Well I will admit that I have built a fortress around me before. It took about 4 pillows (that I stole from the guest room) but it was worth it for the week.

I sleep in the fetal position with either a pillow or big, fluffy blanket between my legs. Though in my case, it's simply because I have boney knees, so it hurts to sleep without one of the two nestled between them.

It varies. Usually I'll wiggle around quite a bit before actually falling asleep, so whichever position I end up in is how I sleep lol.

I have a friend who falls asleep as soon as he hits the bed. No movement or anything he is just out. I don't know how he does it....

That makes me so jealous. It takes me forever to fall asleep and it has to be pretty quiet unless I'm extremely tired. I'm also a really light sleeper. Almost anything will wake me up.
But I usually sleep on my stomach. I'm not sure how it started but if I have back pains I can usually lay on my stomach and it will go away.
But recently I have been starting to sleep on my right side. Maybe because my bed in my dorm is so freaking small.

Oh god dorm beds are the worst D: Please tell me you invested in some sort of extra padding

I have a pad that goes over the mattress that has feathers in it, but it's not enough and I wake up with pains in my hip -.- I'll have to buy a different pad to go under the one I already have.

On my side, typically while hugging a pillow with my arms and legs. I find it difficult to fall asleep if I don't at least have something to cuddle between my arms.

Egg crate mats are wonderfully cheap and comfortable. Might be a good alternative for ya. Unless you got to one of those schools that doesn't allow foam beds because it is a fire hazard O.o
