How do you pronounce Pate's name?

I always thought it was 'payte' as in bald. Because of that I always thought her 'hair' was actually her scalp.

I just looked up what her name in other languages is and her French name is Terrine, so that points to her name actually being Pat?!

I read it and say it as Pat?, but figured they meant for it to be Pate (like Plate) since they didn't add the accent mark!
