How do you like to organize your items?

I'm recently doing a big town/inventory clean up, and need to work on sorting my items now. Usually, I'd put furniture in the first slot, clothing in the second slot, and miscellaneous items/tools in the third. I'd also try to keep them in order of sets and clothing types like shirts and bottoms, but that would usually get out of hand pretty fast. I've downsized on items that are re-orderable so hopefully it'll be a little easier to manage.

So, how about you all? Do you have any particular ways of organizing, or do you just prefer to throw things in your storage/secret storage without worrying about that?

Back when I played online often, I would have fun stuff in the 1st slot of the Train Station storage. Like red hammers... sushi rolls... throwing beans... fireworks... pitfalls... everything else, I don't have a specific system, but obviously kept furniture and wallpapers grouped with one another. To conserve space, I'd wear clothing in the form of Pro Designs, so that I don't carry clothing in my inventory or letters.

Not really.. I used to categorize my items by tools & flowers/furniture/carpets/clothes/fish & bugs and put them in different sections of my house storage, but I was always too lazy to put stuff back where it belonged. Nowadays I mostly just put similar items on the same storage page and then move on.

I have no idea how to describe how I organize my items. I put the stuff I use most in the first tabs.
