How Do You Keep a Tan?

How do you keep a tan? I need this information because I'm making a character who's naturally tan. If you do know the answer, please respond.

Lol Mine has kept it's tan so far but i'm trying to get rid of it by wearing hats and umbrellas. lol so far no luck but if you want the tan i would just suggest not wearing any hats or accessories and running around in the sun for couple of minutes.

Nope!! I was wearing heart shades for 3 days and i got a major tan D: like i'm probably like the color of caramel!

What I mean is that what if I already have a tan, and want to keep it 'til the next summer, what should I do?

I think the best Idea would be to go to the island everyday for as long as you can. The island has the right conditions for a tan all year round, so that's the only place you can get a tan in the winter.

Surprisingly, i never got a tan from the island o-o i only got tan by running around town without a hat. So my suggestion would be to not TTing too far because it would be considered as "sleeping" in which you'll turn shades lighter again. So just keep being outside without a hat but not for too long otherwise you'll tan darker then your desired skin color.

maintaining the same tan is impossible, but you can switch between 2 shades everyday!
so like shade 3 on day one
then shade 4 on day two
then shade 3 on day 4
etc..

might take a lil more work doe

Unless you always have your time set during tanning season and spend at least 20 minutes a day standing in the sun (Not the island), there's no other way. If you don't tan a day, it'll go down one shade. Then will just keep going down.

Louise you do not need to be at the island at all, i got a tan just by being in the sun in my town for even just 2o minutes.
