I've seen a lot of posts about people holding villagers that are in boxes and what not, and I was always wondering how they did that >.< When I tried going back a day it still counted and they would be gone already, is there some sort of trick as to how people keep a villager in boxes for more than one day?

But I see people post how to hold them for extra days once they are in boxes they want x amount of tbt, which is the part I don't get >.< I've even had trades where someone has told me they were in boxes but if I couldn't pick them up they could hold them for a few days, so once 24 hour go by I was wondering how they manage to keep them still >.<

You can't really keep a villager in boxes for more than one day. I guess you could do it if you kept time travelling back an hour or so every once in a while, but it would be pretty tedious and if you fell asleep, the clock would move on without you. Holding a villager just means that they won't void them (let them move out) until the person is ready to get them.

Oh okay! Yeah I get holding them for a day ( I should have worded it better), but going back a few hours at a time would explain it then. Thanks guys - am still getting familiar with villager trading etc. On here

I've gone back multiple days at a time and still had them in boxes (something I do if I forget to reset the clock when I finish cycling for the day).

I just go back to the day they were in boxes in one jump, and I haven't had a problem or lost them yet.
