Bells
985
So, I recently visited a town...and this town had over 20+ bags of 99k on the ground. I don't know if it was to show off or give away (I didn't take it without permission of course). But I've never seen so much bells in my New Leaf life.

Anyways, how do you guys get A LOT of bells? Do you trade? Do the stalk market? Bug catching on the island? Cheat?

I see plenty of you on here with so many bells and I'm curious as to how you acquire it.

I do the Stalk Market for bells. But i'm slacking on it recently. :(

Stalk Market. You can turn 1m into 12m in under 30 minutes if you prepare currently and find a nice price to sell at.

Through TBT, definitely. Before I started trading and had just started my game, I caught beetles on the island. But now, you can easily sell holiday/event items or sets or really anything on here for a ton of bells. Or buy a ton of turnips and then find someone who has prices at 500+. Or breed hybrids and sell them for 100k a pop. Or even sell things like art or signatures for bells! etc etc

Or go to the TBT Marketplace and sell your TBT for millions, the prices are pretty crazy atm. 10mil for 100TBT at the low end.

Without this site making bells would be much more difficult.

im bad at turnips (i never have a good price and i can hardly play online with others) so i do the lazy camper exploit. at first, i just sold high priced beetles and sharks to retail but then i learned of the exploit and got maybe 3mil from 1-3 full trips to the island.

trading on here works for me. depends what you're trading. villager trades can get you a lot of money too.
selling TBT, as someone else said
I used to do lots of island beetles but meh, it isn't worth it anymore.
I haven't done turnips cuz I TT too much but on reddit they have a whole sub dedicated to ppl with high turnip prices opening their town up

I don't play online with others, but I have two towns on two 3DS XL's of my own. Both are absolutely jammed with perfect fruit trees. Every day I send the mayor of one town to the other, with the day's harvest of perfect fruit to sell. The she picks up the day's harvest of perfect fruit from that town, takes it home, and sells it there. I guess I get around 1,000,000 - 3,000,000 bells/day this way, depending on how much fruit is ripe that day.

I used to harvest beetles on the island, until someone in another ACNL forum suggested that I try this. Duh! I never thought of it until then! :lemon:

Just post a lot and sell your TBT for IGB.
The other day I sold 100 TBT for 6mil IGB.
It is a hassle getting all of the bells into your inventory and going to the ATM though, so I'm only planning on doing it again when I actually need bells.

I have a spare town that has a lot of perfect fruit.
When my town has a high turnip price my other town goes to Sunday. I buy two to three lockers of turnips.
Than travel to my main town to sale. To make it easier a main town player drops with a shovel. The other player starts a conversation with Joan. The main town player than starts digging a holes around Joan so she can't get out. The other night I got lucky and Joan was close to the river. Dug holes around her and the other player was outside of the holes. She stayed in place while the two players filled their locker.

Before I got my spare town I made my money by going to the island. Having it on wealthy early in the game got me a lot of bells from bugs. Also helped that it was summer and the bugs were premium a lot. It help pay for 3 full house and it started to fund a 2nd town. I never sell items or trade villagers. Just trade an item or give it away.

I got a room in the museum for ores and when they go on premium (after I have the room all filled up) I feel my pockets and get around 51,000-60,000 each trip which means I get around 200,000-300,000 depending on how many gold nugget I have. Not the best way to do it, but in my bank I have about 2 mill from doing this.

So, first, the island beetles.. I saved up 10m just from the island beetles alone.. then one day my friend had a 500+ turnip price.. So TTed to sunday and we bought a locker full of turnips, sold it at my his place, went back to my town to buy again.. and so on..

So far I haven't been the -best- at making bells, but my friend recommended going to the island after 7pm and catching the bugs and sharks. It's not a LOT but usually a handful of sharks and the bugs get me around 40k, depending on what I catch.

In-game, you can make lots of bells easily from beetle hunting and the stalk market. You have to remember that the game has been out for some time now and some people play a lot, so it adds up.

In my case, I like to exchange TBT for in-game bells. While I enjoy doing daily tasks to make money, it's a relief to be able to be able to skip them when I don't have as much time to play.

You don't need to put all the bells in your inventory. I usually have a few thousand on my mayor at a time, and then withdraw the rest whenever I need more money to pay for PWPs and stuff like that. I like the ATM system.

I go to the island to get a lot of bells. If you catch rare fish and bugs you will get a lot of bells.

I did bug catching on the island for the first couple of million bells. After that it was strictly buying turnips in bulk (sometimes buying a full locker worth) and waiting for someone on Gamefaqs/TBT to post a high price.

Bugs and trading. Most of my money came from catching lots of bugs and and selling hybrids and other items to players online.

Posting here again: Recently I got 8 million bells for 100TBT. I've heard buying prices can go up to 10mil for 100TBT.
Always an easy method to get IGB if you just come here often and post a few times a day.

I've obtained over (note that I said over) 10 million Bells just from raffles. Those really depend on luck, but whenever I see Bell giveaways of 1 million or more, I almost always enter. It kind of depends on how many people enter the raffle, and although it's risky and some people think of it as "a waste of time," I find the risk and the anticipation as really exciting. :)
Another thing I love to do is beetle hunt! Whenever I first start towns and unlock the island, beetle hunting is one of the top priorities. Once you get started in the million-Bell-business, it just keeps coming, and it's actually easy, especially with the help of those little critters.
Those were what I mainly did, but trying the stalk market is also something to do. It's not my main income only because I can't check the turnip prices every day due to school. But if you're not as busy as that, give it a shot; in no time, I'm sure you'll be raking in the Bells.
I have a number one rule though, and it may sound cheesy, but simply have fun! I think that taking time to go to the island or enter giveaways is one thing that makes the game enjoyable. That feeling of accomplishment can't be beat! :)
Best of luck!~

I've never considered that, but I'll definitely give it a try myself!~
