how do you feel about hacked towns?

They're okay but most of them seem to look the same to me.

I've hacked all 3 of my towns but I just reset one of them because I thought it was a mess, I can't hack now because my laptop doesn't work.

you can usually tell if a town is hacked because there are trees/items in the water, or pathway designs in the event plaza. some perfect towns are achieved through hard work, and some hacked towns were built mostly traditionally. sometimes people just hack their town to add an edge of detail, like bamboo along their bridges

You can have paths in the event plaza without hacks....

And jeez, so many people pming me "how do I hack". Someone wasted an hour of my life cause they were a complete idiot when I was kindly trying to explain in the easiest way how to hack. Jeez.

I guess I understand why people do hack, but I look at it the same way I do time travelling - it kind of defeats the purpose of the game (for me). I like that things are somewhat a mirror of real life. You don't always have all the money, items, or time to do everything, so you have to budget and plan. I certainly don't have any say in who moves in next to my real house, so being able to invite someone to move in and do the reset trick to get the house mainly where I'd like it is a nice plus. Right now, I have a lot of placeholders on the ground for trees and bushes, so it doesn't look great, but I know that each day I can get another tree and two bushes to plant. And waiting three days for them to reach maturity is not a bad thing.

I might have been more tempted to try it back if I'd played in my teens, but now? I kind of enjoy the lazier feel to the game. This is my escape from stress.

I like hacked towns, I know how much time and effort that has to go into them to make them look how they look. Shows a lot of creativity and what you could do without the restrictions.

-I like that you can place objectsin your town that the game doesn't normally allow. Like flowers in water
-Being able to keep bushes in rows without them breaking.
-Just basically everything landscaping.

Dislike:
- I DON'T like when people put PWPs on top of each other or houses floating above the beach or something. I won't do that.
- Hacking your museum to be completed, your encyclopedias to be full, and your badges to be complete+all gold. Like there's nothing left to accomplish is there. No thank you.
