Every post you make, you earn TBT.

Some forums you can't earn TBT for posting, which includes the basement, TBT marketplace, introduction board, bulletin board, and the cellar. Othet forums you can make TBT for posting. The longer your post is, the more TBT you make.

That's true too. However, some transactions are prohibited, as you should not sell others' art for TBT. On my blog entry "Advice for Bell Tree Forums" on my site, I listed ten good ways and ten bad ways of making TBT. Not trying to advertise, but this sums up my experiences on TBT about what is acceptable and what is unacceptable.
