Personally, when you don't have a full town, how do you deal with random move ins, especially on your path? Do you just do the new save file trick every time you log on? just wondering how people deal haha.

I just accept it. Might as well, I don't see any reason why not. And anyway, one of my favourite current villagers is Cesar, and he moved in without me inviting him.

lucky! I always seem to get very odd/undesirable villagers from my random move-ins haha. conversely my sister always gets the greatest randoms like julian and beau omg.

I punch a few pillows then work round it, haha.
If they move on my path/in my park. Otherwise I don't really care tbh.

They always tend to move in on my paths of my pine forest. I just deal with it, I like them I keep them around and work around them. If I don't like them I just don't talk to them, then they move away :P

I wait until they finally move away. Like recently I got Sly that weird ugly camo alligator with his murder like eyes. He moved in one of the worst spots and I'm trying to get him out of my town.

my villagers are quite good at picking spots for houses, except for one or two. they all settle down along the river.

some of my favorites are random move-ins - kabuki, marina and molly, for example. when i see a new house spot, i accept it and try to get to know the villager. if i like him, he'll stay, if not, i ignore him until he moves away.

My random move ins were pretty awesome TBH. Most of them settled down at the bottom corner of the map, kind of like a residential area. They're also lined up pretty well for the most part.

However if its a villager I really out want immediately then I just use the introduce then ignore trick.

I always have 10 villagers and will keep it at 10 until I agree to trade for a villager, then I'll get one to move out and immediately go pick up another!! But I have had villagers that I invite move in to really terrible spots.. I just spend the rest of the day redoing my paths around their house and planting new flowers ^_^ it's kind of a fun challenge. All of my villagers are randomly placed, I just suck at doing the new villager trick and don't really try.

I usually do the reset trick. As for where they move in, I usually keep a spot in my village free of trees/paths/flowers/pwp's. It's a big enough space that it's always the first place a build-site pops up when a random villager moves in.

I also found when I do the reset trick that if I didn't like the house spot, and tried the trick again, it sometimes turned into a different villager moving in, but with the same personality. It's nice if you wanna roll the dice with a certain personality ;D

Recently Henry moved in over Wi-fi, stealing my tenth villager spot. In response, I TTed another villager out and am now waiting for him to leave. I haven't even adjusted the path around his house because I'm determined to make him leave ASAP. With random move-ins when I'm down to 8 so they're from the game, I also tolerate them until they leave. If I like them but they're on my path, I move the path around to fit them.

I've only gotten two surprises from StreetPass, none from Wi-Fi. The first was a complete surprise, Pancetti moved in and murdered a tree and a path. I was really upset that time because I didn't even know you could get StreetPass move-ins, and, well, look at her face. I ended up befriending her and she moved out soon enough.

The second one happened almost right after the Pancetti incident - I was so happy to have gotten rid of her I just forgot I no longer had 10 villagers, and went StreetPassing again. ._. Picked up Tex while at the mall, apparently. I didn't even know when I got home, but by some happy coincidence I decided to do some random resetting for a camper or something, and noticed his plot. So I just stuck him in some corner, and I'm trying that "ignore the villager after introducing yourself" thing that some people claim works, but so far it hasn't. I might have to befriend him too, to get him to move. That seems to work the best.

I started doing the resetting trick shortly after getting the game. Before that I just dealt with it :3 I just work with what I got and rework my paths

edit: oh wait, some of them have moved via streetpass at random xD I just lived with it until I got fed up and TT'd them out

Personally I welcome them. Worry about the flowers that might die, but really that's all I would lose. Plus it saves me the trouble of finding someone in the campsite or someone being given away for free in the VTP.

I'm actually pretty sure that I have designated spots in my town for move ins from my locations of pwps. I had a random move in yesterday (Charlise ughhh) who had 2 move in choices that I'm aware of. I'm not really afraid of them destroying my paths anymore.

I always reset if I have 8 or fewer villagers. Of course even with 9 villagers, you can get voided villagers who move in from other towns you've visited.

I just deal with it. If I like them, I work around their house. If not, I try to find the time to TT them out ASAP.

If I am at 8, I usually reset to get the desirable villager from a certain personality.(Got Willow that way :)) Otherwise, I have no random move-ins because I don't visit that many towns and no one plays AC where I live (despite it being a big city) so no streetpass for me.

Even when I get a planned move-in, I always do the reset trick. Don't ask, I am just kind of OCD and all perfectionist about some things and having a perfect town layout is one of them.
