everyone gets bad days, but i when i get them, i just shut down entirely. i have no motivation to study, go to work, stay after for clubs, etc, which really gets in the way of my educational life. even if i attempt doing something, i'd be doing a terrible job at it. how do you deal with bad days and do you have any tips for getting over them?

probs go outside for a nice refreshing walk if its night

if its morning then id probably just try listening to some good music

After a bad day, talking to my friends cheers me up. They always know how to make me smile again, or calm me down by saying "It's not as bad as you think" when the world seems to be falling apart. I owe so much to them.

When I have to face the day alone, I listen to some upbeat dance tracks and draw the day away.

At work, I just smile and try to stay positive.

I used to go to my moms house and cry and tell her all about it. She always made me feel better. Now, I talk to my sisters. They always make me laugh. It makes me feel better every time.

Izzy mentioned going for a walk. That's very good advice. A nice long walk really does work wonders when you're sad or very angry.

For me personally, I love coffee. A big hot cup of coffee always perks me up when I'm sad.
I also know that channeling that negative energy into something-productive or not-is key. Writing in a journal, taking a walk, listening to music or drawing are probably the best things you can do when you're sad. I hope your day is going alright! :)
(And at the risk of sounding trite...Don't give up-stick it out until the end. If you don't feel happy, it isn't the end yet. )

I do not.

Sometimes you just gotta power through and deal with it, like sure I can distract myself but those heavy feelings are still there while I'm doing whatever so just keep truckin' and do what you gotta do even if you don't want to.

If I'm having a bad day I always feel much better after venting to someone because I really can't stand not having everything out in the open, though admittedly that's not usually how I end up coping since I get kinda nervous that I'd be bothersome that way. At the very least I try to convince myself to get out and do something productive or take a walk somewhere because I've found that if I just stay in and try to sleep off my problems, I get into an awful habit of neglecting my work and then staying home from school and it just makes me feel worse in the end. If I go out and at try to make myself have fun I usually really do have fun and whatever was bothering me becomes a distant thought, at least temporarily.

I cry so easily lol so that's what I do if it's that bad. Otherwise I try to keep my mind off it by playing games or watching shows.

I try to either look at pictures of cute animals or funny stuff on the Internet to try to cheer myself. Usually works, unless I'm having a really, really bad day.

Also trying to ignore what triggered me to be sad or upset in the first place so I won't keep on being sad.

Whenever I have a really bad day, I chat with my friends, eat chocolate and drink tea (or just eat junk food...), listen to weird/random music I enjoy, and either binge watch a series, or read a good book. I just try to forget about the bad day, and try to remind myself that I should be happy I'm even alive and woke up this morning.

Also, this is sort of fitting, since this is after all an Animal Crossing forum:

And remember that bad times... are just times that are bad.

If it's really bad I'll just cry it out. Otherwise I watch funny TV or online videos to make me laugh.
