My hair is curly, so if I brush it it goes ridiculously frizzy and untameable, so I only brush before some showers (not all, because I actually can't be bothered). I know there's ways to stop it from being too frizzy and wild, but I'm okay with what I do already and I'm not going to change it up anytime soon.
When I do brush it, I just go straight down with the brush. Years of having my hair almost ripped from my head when getting it brushed as a kid (I don't blame them though, its tough to brush a kid's hair) has desensitised me to pain from hairbrushes.
i have wavy/curly hair (genuinely it’s anywhere between 2b and 3a depending on the day) so i’m mostly brushing it in the shower with or without gel/leave-in conditioner while it’s soaking wet lol. sometimes (like on day 2 or 3 hair, or if i didn’t style it after i washed it) i’ll just brush out the curls and go for a straighter/wavy style. for that, i use a wet brush comb or an unbrush.
tho i used to just brush it out all the time and roll with a floofy static style lmao
Im pleasantly surprised by how many people who basically have my hair type! Pretty much all of my friends have straight hair haha
I can totally relate to feeling like I'm yanking out my hair when I use a brush, so finger combing has been way more nice. I hated that riping feeling.
My hair is very short (cut with electric clippers every two or three months), so combing it is easy most of the time as it can’t tangle too much. It sticks up in all directions most mornings, though! Especially in the later weeks of the cycle when my hair is starting to grow out. I always have to wet my hair down pretty significantly after I get up and then comb it so it lays flat.
I have very fine, straight hair that I recently cut just above my shoulders. It takes me like 15 seconds to brush from top to bottom; it's never been this easy!
When I had it down to my butt, I had to start from the bottom and work my way up while using a detangling spray. It was annoying, and didn't even look good because my hair is so fine I envy ladies that have natural volume, though I know that having thicker hair comes with its own pains.
I miss being able to wear my hair in a braid because I felt like that was my signature style (plus wavy hair looks SO good), but it makes getting ready for work much quicker.
i brush mine in the morning, it usually doesn't tangle that much tbh even though it's very thick. it's a little wavy but not overly so. i don't actually condition it when washing lmao, just shampoo, and that's been fine for me. it's not very long, about down to my elbows. i need to cut it to my shoulders again tbh, just for the convenience when washing/brushing, but i haven't decided for sure yet lol.
It depends on whether I’m wearing my hair curly or straight. Since my hair is naturally very curly, I only brush it when it’s wet after a shower. When I straighten it, I usually never have to brush it.
I dont do anything fancy, most of my hair is very short and the one side I got longer is a bit wavy and can be easily brushed with a comb after a shower (after that I just let it dry on its own and c'est la vie!)
my hair is curly so i only brush or comb it if it's wet, otherwise it gets super frizzy and poofy. most times i comb it in the shower while using conditioner to make sure i don't have any knots or tangles. after that i'll usually style it with a heat tool or braid my hair to keep it from getting too frizzy
My hair's very short, and pretty good at keeping its shape, so I don't really brush it. The most I usually need is to comb my fingers through it a bit after washing it, to get my fringe back in its usual place.
I could really enhance my hair texture with the proper routine, I even have almost all of the supplies aside from a diffusing hair dryer, but I just brush it back into a bun everyday.
i like to brush my hair out in the shower while conditioning. it's the easiest and least knot-inducing method i've found ! sometimes i'll brush it again once i've applied product but rarely do i brush dry.
