I'm trying to move one villager away and ignoring them has done nothing, so I'm befriending them. So, are there any ways to become friends with a villager fast? At least to the point where they wanna move.

Please and thank you!

Sending them mail with presents and doing choirs for them. If they ask for a fruit give them a perfect one if you can. :)

Did not think of giving them perfect fruit. I'll start doing that.

And I know it's just a typo, but it'd be awesome if we could sing for them. Especially on Christmas. It'd be like Christmas caroling!

Like giving perfect fruit, if they ask for furniture, give them a refurbished item! They'll notice that it looks different.
Also, talk to them until they say they need space, and they walk around, thinking. Talking to them a lot also rises your friendship.

And if you don't have time to do their request, it's best just to say no instead of letting them down.
Welp, that's all I know!

Perfect FOREIGN fruit is even better! When I had Pompom I sent her a letter with a Perfect Cherry (my native fruit is Peaches) everyday and got her picture in under two weeks!

I have never talked to them to that point. The uchis get a little mean when you talk to them too much! I generally talk until they start giving the indication that I'm going overboard (Flora starts talking about me being a clone).

Besides giving them perfect fruit, give them perfect fruit from another town if possible. That's extra special. BUT, only if they ask for fruit in general. If they ask for a specific fruit, it would be better to give a normal version than a perfect fruit that's wrong.

You can also give rare fish, but be warned that if you do plan on keeping any of them, they will now have, say, a whale shark swimming in their homes!

When they ask for furniture, consult this for items they'll really like:
