how do you actually unlock the "secret room"

does your house need to be fully upgraded? because I never fully upgrade mine D:
I don't like showing villagers to every single room -- so I just keep my house as the biggest single story, no rooms nothing ; ^;

Yes, you have to upgrade all the way and pay off all of the loans to get the secret storeroom.

And you should use regular size font to make your posts more readable.

Actually, you only need the 2nd floor done, then you can order any expansion, including the storeroom. You must not have any pending loans, though.
