it's probably just because i'm impatient, but it honestly feels like i'll never have enough bushes and saplings to fill my town. i have a cycling town i use and even after hours of tting day by day i only end up with about 10 of the sweet olive bushes. how do you all get your bushes/trees? just buying them from the garden shop daily, duping, or?

For trees - buy a golden shovel, you can get one off here for 5tbt or i'll give you one of you haven't got one, I'll be around later on so just let me know via vm of pm. Plant 1000 bells and it will grow to be a tree :)
For bushes, I tt so I managed to save up quite a lot, I just go and buy 1 or 2 each new in game day. Even then it took me a lot of time, again, I had to buy about 50 off here

oh wow, that tree idea is really smart! ty so much! i don't have a golden shovel, i could give you 5 tbt for one :) in regards to bushes, i think its really because im being so picky and only buying sweet olive. im kinda considering just using any type and gradually swapping them out for sweet olives

I bought them gradually as offered by Lief; stored them in the museum rooms - like the house, these rooms are restricted to 48 items, but tools/saplings/bush starts don't count towards that number; can lay them on the floor (you can walk over them). Messy but it keeps them out of the house/storage/save letters.

frankly, i had a lot of tbt to spare on bush starts, so they were fairly easy to acquire once i decided what i wanted. it also helped that i had been passively saving bush starts in my museum for a while, so a good chunk of what i needed was from that. i still hoard them when i play even though i have no current use for them (always a good idea if you have room i think). and for trees, i used the bell burying trick a previous user mentioned.

By buying them daily, but also by buying from/trading with others! For bushes specifically I'd buy all the ones available and stock up, then trade the type I didn't need for the type I wanted. People are always looking for bushes, you help each other out that way

i buy bushes daily. it works for me, i don't really buy bushes on tbt. but i tt a lot because my town was like 2 months behind real life time ssso that could be why

I bought all of mine myself, daily in the store. It took a long time but I used that time to properly landscape, I used QRs that said "bush" "tree" etc to figure out where I'd plant it all, then gradually began planting.

I purchased trees and bushes solely from Leif daily. I store 10 of Azaleas (pink/white), 10 Hydrangas (blue/pink) 5 sapling and 5 pine in characters house in case I want to change things up.

For 2 of my towns I just buy bushes every day from Lief. I'll save them up and transfer them to whichever of the two towns that needs them more.

For the other two towns, I'm using hibiscus bushes because you can buy multiples of them at a time from the island. If I'm at the island and they're not in stock that day I'll play the tours to gather flowers instead. That way I don't have to buy flowers from Leif, and I'll have the coins to buy bushes next time they're in stock.

Hoarding them in the museum room til I was ready to plant (still not yet hah) and buying on Re-tail section of this forum.

Like everyone else, I also hoard them in my museum from either buying them from Leif or the Retail forum. People always want bushes so it's good idea to stock up on them. :)

Currently i just ask my friends, and family who play animal crossing for bushes. Then I just put them in my closet until I am done with these paths

I just collect all the shrubs I need for landscaping a certain part of my town, then plant them all once I have enough, that way it doesn't look unfinished. You can also post a thread or check out the shops in the Retail board. Someone will always have gardening supplies.

I either do it by Leif, hardly never Re-Tail or going to my supply town and get them without having to pay TBT. Which I, mostly want to save for art. Not Animal Crossing Art. Digital Art at the Museum Board.

I bought shrubs from the island and planted them while I waited for Leif shrubs. As soon a the shrubs appeared at the store I started buying all of them. Stored them in the museum until I had enough to replace a section. You could use the trading board to swap the shrubs you don't want or sell them the ones you don't want.
