I made two more characters along with my mayor, but I had to delete the, because I couldn't handle it. It seemed like so much work.

Well if you're like me and have a lot of time on your hands, you can take care of it.

I jst have an alt chara for storage. I only go on them to pay for upgrades, which allows for more space

Alt storage and another house to decorate. Also you can get extra Sahara rugs, villager pics on April fools, items on holidays (explorers day, groundhog day, etc.

Decorating the houses to fit the theme/town story, changing paths on those characters til I'm fully happy with it, and changing their outfits is at least better than not going on them at all. I just don't go to the island or talk to the animals on them.

But when all of that is finished, they'll just be storage. >u<

My mayor will always be more fun to play overall.

This.

Paths. So many slots needed for paths... Also it gives me different houses to decorate. There are so many different ways to set up rooms. I tend to have them dress in different styles, with different 'tastes' in clothing styles. Other than that.... Extra money rocks per day, and extra storage. One character hoards items, one hoards fruit, and one hoards gardening supplies. My bf thinks having more than one character just causes more work and time sunk into the game, and he's not wrong. But I tend to go all out when I get into a game...so I like having different characters so I can give them their own 'hobbies.'

lol. You are right! I do this with my alts too.

I have a total of 4 characters simply because I need more room to hold my QR codes and storage space. However, you can basically play the other characters whenever you want to. There really is no set time in order for you to actually start to play them. I am just now starting to get my second character her badges so it all depends on the time that you make for the character.

I know it feels stressful sometimes because you just see their names lying their and feel the need to hurry and play becuase of their hairdo or if the villagers will forget them etc. but the good part about it is that you can always get rid of them whenever, so it doesn't matter if they just stay there or not. They will have a purpose eventually whether you just want to switch a character up besides your mayor or use them for more room on anything you may need. You may eventually get around to them. When you are done with your mayor's badges and home and have done everything you need to with the mayor, you may decide you want to then move onto a different character to still keep the game feeling "fresh".

Once Kitt leaves town, I'm going to place a new house down where she's at. My mayor's house is HHA point paradise, but I like having other characters so I can have fun with designs that look nice, but maybe don't get as many points.

I have 2 alt characters that I just use for storage and a house to decorate. Oh, and to get extras of non-reorderable DLC. They never interact with the the villagers because I don't play them enough. Once I get everything finished in my town, and have all the badges and everything for my mayor, I may play them more. I'm playing them a lot now because I'm trying to get their houses finished. Usually, though, I'll go a few weeks without playing them.

I have 2 characters, being 3 with my mayor. I don't really use the other two. I am juggling between my other two characters since I'm decorating and expanding their houses and I have to go back and forth since they both hold items either need for the rooms :/ eventually I'll end up using them for some paths and qr clothes.

Basically paths and storage. Although sometimes I fall in love with one of my alts (currently really digging Olive, my perma camper) and want to play them more than my mayor lol

I play with both of my characters in my main town, one day I'll play as the mayor, and the other day I'll play as my alt.
