How do I keep a villager in boxes?

I want to move a villager from my weeding town to my main town. That villager is supposed to move out on the 31st. It's currently the 28th. I do not have space for her in my main town yet. Is there a way to keep a villager in boxes over multiple days, or would I be better off just not playing in my weeding town until I have space, then TT to the 31st, when she will be in boxes?

You can wait some days, then on the day keep setting the time to 6:01 am, that gives you 24 hours. .

you can keep time traveling back to the beginning of the day to keep the game on the villager's "moving day". until your other game is ready for them
