How do I find out what my ds number is? And how do I add someone to visit my town? And I have a ds2 not 3 , does that matter? thank you!

Click the orange smiley square on your ds home screen. (You can access this while playing acnl by pushing the home button. It suspends acnl.) When the friend list is opened it will show you if you scroll one card to the right. That has your friend code that you give out so others can add you as friends. One the same screen in the upper right corner it has the smiley orange box again but this time with a plus symbol. Select that box to add friends. You will need their friend code but can make up any name to give them. It'll correct their name when they've added you.
