How do I check how many hours I've played?

Not sure if I can find this through the game, or if I have to go into the DS system. Ty~

You can go to the Activity Log on your 3DS, and go to your library. From there, you can find Animal Crossing, and it will tell you how many hours you've played, how many times you've played it, and so on.
