How do I activate the wedding event?

I just opened up my game but nothing is happening. I don’t know I sort of thought Reese and Cyrus would magically appear or I would get a phone call from them.

You will receive a phone call from Harv on June 1st. Then you will have to visit his island to do the event.

Will I get the call at a certain time? It is June 1 for me. I opened up the game (I checked to see if there were any updates...but it said it had the latest version). However when I started the game, there’s no call at the start.

That's odd. There should be a call.
The time the event activates depends on the e-shop you downloaded the game from - it needs to be June 1st in that country for it to start.

did you leave the game on overnight with your switch on sleep mode? certain transitions can get messed up when you leave the game on overnight. have you tried turning the game off and on again?

Have you visited Harv's island before? I think if you haven't yet you won't get a call from him? Not 100% sure about this tho lol if you didn't receive any call from him just go to his island and they'll be there

I was about to say this. I checked that it requires visiting Harv once.

If the game is already open before an update installs it can delay new content a day. I had this happen with the May updates.

No I had the switch turned off at nights, so when I started the game everything was from the start. I did try to visit the island now , and they were there. How weird. I didn’t receive the call , but I was able to do the event at the island.
