How did you handle resetting your town?

I really want to reset :/
i have a crap load of flowers and six dreamies though,
i don't really have many people i trust on here or anyone i know who would hold all of my hybrids and furniture and i have LOTS of rare unorderables, that's basically all that's in my house minus some minimalistic furniture so i'm kinda thinking of going to go buy another animal crossing game tonight.
I have some questions also,
1. How many villagers do you usually start out with?
2. Should i make my original copy a cycling town after?
3. Safest way to tt to get villagers in boxes? Im deathly afraid of losing rosie and marshal

Here's a post about getting people to move out (they give you the date they're leaving, so you'll know when they're going to be in boxes). Hope it helps!

I'd turn into a cycling town and slowly move your villagers over to your new town. With tting, I used to tt 2 days at a time even though it's slower it's less risky. Make sure to talk to everyone every now and then so they'll ping you.

Also if you decide to get someone to hold your stuff or transport it from your old town to your new one I can. I get home in like 3 hours if you need me.

I have reset my town, around 2 weeks ago.
It hurt to see Datlof go, but I think it was worth it. I'm a lot happier in Merivale!

You were actually someone i had thought of asking to hold my flowers so I'm glad you posted here hehe. I think I also now have a mix of 15 purple and white violets for you on a sidenote lol.

Tbh, I only reset my original town, because it was just baaad. I went on a long hiatus and loved to TT in the past, so my town was absolutely fudged. It was so bad that I wasn't all that sad when I reset it. I would only reset my main town if I was desperate or if I couldn't stand living there anymore for some reason. I couldn't stand my old town anymore, so I started "A New Leaf" xD
