Exactly as the title says, "How did you dress up your museum?"

I can't figure out what the heck I wanna do with mine! I don't have enough spare ramp slots to do the two-staircase walkup I want to... I have to redo my whole plan... 😓

Screenshots are a bonus!!

I have a stone path leading to it like all of my buildings. Right now I'm in the process of moving everything to the beach for my teraforming to take place in 14 days from now so Museum is pretty much just like any building.

However when I'm done, the Museum will be on the highest peak and I will build a third cliff that you can't climb behind the museum.

Actually in the process of turning the museum into more of a lab area. Probably more towards space development considering tall the space stuff in the game. Probably will go for a Nasa feel complete with the rocket site outside.

I moved it to the left of the town hall, up on a second hill. Then made a mini waterfall/river beside it. Hard to explain, but I can post a picture when it's all done, don't have the switch available at the moment. ♥

I still need to move mine because I have a better planned place for where I want it.
Right now it’s just got a stone path leading up to it and a fountain near it, but I’m planning on moving it to the other side of the plaza, connecting it with a pathway, displaying at least two full fossils by the doorway, and adding a little seating area somewhere in front of the museum so it’s a place you can hang out and relax.
I’m thinking of also thinking of making a little cafe area in front of it and connecting it with a path, to give my island more “attractions” since we don’t have Brewsters

I placed some spare fossils outside, fenced them of and made a bit of a courtyard in front of it with places to sit. I also made a small gift shop using the stall. I also want to put a shark tank in the middle of the courtyard (when I can get sharks) I then used the circular floor lights in blue and have them in front of the fossils.

Mine sits on the first level, in the bend of a river. It's to the right and back from RS and there's a park area (in process) in front of it. A few hardwood trees on either side, brick walls forming an entrance, and I put down the dirt path with a brick pattern over it leading to the steps.

The path and fence may change, as it's a bit formal and heavy-looking. I want it to tie in with the park area, so it won't be heavily decorated, but enough that you know you've moved to a new spot.

I haven't yet because I'm in the process of major terraforming and creating a neighborhood area for my villagers.

But what I did was keep an extra piece of all the standalone fossil extras (i.e. Juramaia and Amber) and I intend to make a display outside of my museum for them.

Just a fountain outside it. I've built a little building district (This one pictured)

I've paved down the arched tile path outside of the buildings, and used the Zen Fence around the borders, with some openings in key areas. There is no fence to the right of the Museum, but a line of closely packed cedar trees covering the entire vertical area. Outside the entrance to the museum is a PWP type fountain . I also have my mailbox outside the museum :p

I made a fruit orchard area with a stone arch at the front, going to lay down some museum custom patterns with blathers logo when I've found some nice ones

Mine isn't really 'decorated' as its situated with all the other buildings, so right now there are just a few white roses around it. However, I am planning on moving it so that it has its own dedicated area.

Mine’s still a work in progress.

I have this outdoor cafe area right next to it. I don’t want to go too crazy with it. Maybe add some floor lights and a sign or something.

I filled it with cedars, black street lamps and have a fountain (customized to brown) outside of the museum. I put stone tiles sparsely around, and I also added a skeleton just for fun :P

Whoa, didn't even know people responded to this xD
I finally came up with something I liked: [x]

That looks great! I love the dinosaur standees in the background. That's a nice use of the rope fence too. I never purchased that one because I never really figured out a good way to use it.

Mine is really plain in comparison. I just moved it yesterday and now I feel like it takes up too much real estate while being kind of plain. Oh well.

I want to surround mine in a flower garden but I’m still deciding on a location for the museum. ;;

this is sooooo lovely and creative ! i adore the dig site so much. one of my favorite things about terraforming is finding ways to put things BELOW a level, instead of just above, haha 😍🌠 wonderful work !

Wow...those screenshots a few posts up are truly awesome.

All I did was place an 'Easter Island head' on the beach by my museum, and two golden arowana statues on either side of the entrance.
