How crazy did hybrids drive you?

Because if I don't see a purple pansy soon I may just lose my marbles.

There is lots of conflicting info on how to get them but maybe that is because I finally read that there is more than one way to actually do it.

So I started out to get my (BR)reds. Got two. Picked them up to put them in my house for safekeeping and when I got to my house and into my pockets, what did I see? My pockets had not two precious hybrid pansies, but a ton of red pansies from when I was planting the grid, ones that I forgot to put away. I could just kick myself.

I broke down and bought a few hybrids from the re-tail board, for breeding purposes, but I will not break down on the purple pansies. They are my favorite and I want the first one in my town to be from my own "work" lol.

try buying two so you can breed them. i had no luck with blue roses but after i started buying 2 i have about 10

I'm quickly losing the last of my sanity to blue roses -.- DO THEY EVEN EXIST?
I haven't even bothered with purple pansies yet, totally dreading it, ugh.

I don't know why I'm still holding out on the pansies. I should take a break and work on my pinks...cosmos, lilies, tulips.

I want a wonderland of pink and purple flowers though, so I'm going to have to crack the purple code at some point here. I hope purple roses aren't quite such a nightmare as the pansies. I didn't even try blue roses, I just bought them because of everything I heard about it being such a pain in the tush.

I tried purple pansies for a bit before I just gave up. I gave up on blue roses and just bought some. Purple roses took me a bit to start but once I did they grew like crazy. They aren't too hard to get though. I don't even know what to do with all of my purple roses now because I don't think I'm going to actually use them.

You know, I just realized that I am wasting money on fertilizer and winding up with reds, blues, and whites, when I could just buy the blasted purple pansies and use the fertilizer on them to multiply the investment.
