I know that loading up one of my existing characters will mess the whole thing up. I also know that I can time-travel using the 3DS clock, but I've only ever TTed using the in-game clock. My in-game time is way different from my 3DS's clock, so if I time-travel using the 3DS clock should i make it the same time as the in-game clock? So, in my game it's August 1st 2015 at 5:11 pm. I only have about 12 hours left until it's the next day and my villager's plot sets to permanent, right? My 3DS's clock is set to real-time, so it's June 3 2015 at 9:38 am. I just want to give myself more time in case I don't get the ideal plot within the next 12 hours. I've read stories of people plot-resetting for weeks. Can someone explain to me how I can use the 3DS clock to get more time without messing anything up?

OK. so in the loading menu i saw her house plot in the spot i wanted it to be. I loaded a new character just in case and her house plot wasnt there. does the loading menu have anything to do with the actual game? is that house plot a part of a pattern, so should i not break the current pattern until she places her house there again? i've been doing this for hours and it's getting really frustrating... i got so excited when i saw her house there in the loading screen, but i wasnt sure if that would mean her house would actually be there... please help

How did it go? I thought that a villagers' plot only sets to a permanent place if you load up an existing character, and not when the date changes? And I think that the in-game clock and system clock don't have to be on the same date when changing the date using the system clock. I think in that case they both go forward or back the same amount of days both, the dates staying different. But you must know this now that you did it.

Hey. Thanks for replying. I ended up not needing to change the clock because she set her house in the place I wanted her. So I still don't know anything about TTing with the system clock.

Also, wouldn't her house placement be permanent on the next day by default even if I don't load an existing character? Because the house plot will only be there for a day before her actual house shows up, right?

The house placement will not be permanent, before you load an existing character, in theory you could spend years with plot resetting. The game only saves when you load a character, or save with the new character.

Ahhh. Well that's good to know. I hope I never have to plot reset that long. I just about lost my mind plot resetting for 2 hours straight
