How are you getting ready for Gracie's fashion checks? (Or are you not?)

Since getting T.I.Y. in my town, I have been on the lookout for clothes, shoes and accessories. I am putting together complete, differently themed outfits so that I will have what I need when Gracie shows up. I've made a list that covers all the different themes and I'm using a museum room to group the items together. So far, I've managed to collect at least 3 items per outfit per theme.

Are you doing the same? :)

My TIY opens tomorrow. I'm going to have my mule character start collecting a closet full of clothes to fit each theme as much as I can. I want to prepare in advance so I'll have the outfits ready when Gracie shows up. I have heard of people who play during the day ordering things from Nooklings and getting the pieces by the afternoon mail delivery, but considering I mostly play in the evenings, I'm too late for that.

Does she only show up when you have TIY?

Yes, and only after you've spent 70,000 bells at the TIY.

Everone in uk should have TIY open tomorrow if they bought on release day and didn't time travel.

I started collecting outfits for her fashion checks early, so I didn't have to think about it anymore. I'm not really a fan of her clothes or furniture sets, but my husband is, which is why I did it. :D

I bought every piece of clothing/accessory from the beginning and had a 2nd character store the items until I was ready to deal with them. I have now gone thru every item I bought. I have section 'C' in my storage set aside for clothes. Since there are 10 different styles that Gracie could ask for (Basic, Cute, Flashy, Historical, Iconic, Modern, Official, Ornate, Rock n' Roll & Sporty), I have a spot in each of the 6 drawers ready for each style. Drawer #1 has tops, #2 bottoms, #3 hats, #4 accessories, #5 socks & #6 shoes. So when Gracie shows up, I can go to the drawers and pull the items out easily. I don't have 6 items of each style, but I do have at least 3 of each so I should pass the 'Fashion Check' unless I have a clashing item on at the time.

I just buy a load of clothes and then sell them and then I will order them from Nook's and I will have them later for the fashion check. I will be using a guide to get the right clothes

I've been meaning to do this but kept putting it off because my inventory is kind of out of control. I keep forgetting about the museum though. Making a clothes closet in there is a great idea!

I have opened 3 rooms in my museum to store clothes, though I am very close to needing the 4th one.

Its quiet a mess and I think when Gracie visits I will read up which outfits belong to a style and then retrieve them.

I haven't even thought about it yet. I've had my TIY for a few days yet, no sign of Gracie. I suppose I should get on this, right?

Recently, I got all four fashion checks completed! It was a lot of work x.x

You're doing it the smart way and organizing everything. I just had TIY open a couple of days ago and I've been hording random clothes for the past month because I'm paranoid about the fashion checks. I have four rooms in the museum and my full-size basement crammed with clothes, as well as most of my closet/locker space. I've had to sell tons of furniture just to make room for more clothes--and I know I have duplicates. None of it is organized at all. When Gracie finally comes around, I'll be scrambling to find matches. I assume with so much crammed everywhere, I'm bound to be able to put together what she wants from whatever I have on-hand, but it'll be painful to find clothes that match style.

I didn't prepare for Gracie's checks. I just got what was close enough to the theme and I passed all four times. Pretty lucky.

I started saving clothes from the beginning and I have all four museum rooms full of clothes. I have a list on paper of each theme and what items go with each theme and every day when I shop I just keep adding items to their proper themes. I have 2-3 themes per room...I cannot wait for the fashion checks to be over so I can just keep the clothes I like and sell the rest. I have 4 characters and two of them are dressed in a total theme.

I am very prepared. The only theme that is an issue is MODERN because most of the modern stuff is Gracie stuff. I have three pieces so it is enough to hopefully pass.

I have to start getting ready, but I hate having clothes I'm not using lying around or in storage orz
I've been cataloguing a lot of clothes recently though so I hope when Gracie does come I have time to reorder from Nook's

I've also done the museum thing, but I'm currently fixing to restart my town, so everything will go poof. I'm definitely going to do the same thing again. It's so handy to have the outfits stored in the museum. I had three of the mannequins, so I managed to fit it all in one room.
