How and What Do People Use to Make Pixel Chibis?

I am really interested in making them but I do not know what programs most people use for these, if you are able to it would be awesome if you could tell me

Sai, Gimp, Paint, and a very very tiny brush.

I use Paint Tool Sai and Gimp. In Paint Tool Sai, I use the binary tool to draw pixel chibis and Gimp to animate them. I normally work on a base. If you want to some examples of my pixel chibis to see what the base looks like, click te banner in my signature to get to my shop.

paint tool sai is the best
