house plot vanished

when i turned my game on today i saw Tia and right next to her was a house plot.

So when I started up my game I went over to see who was moving in, and the plot was gone?? it's nowhere around town either, so it hasn't moved. It also destroyed some flowers in the opening screen (because I had flowers in that spot) but in the game the flowers are still there.

Idk what happened can anyone help?
Also I have Katia in my town today if that has anything to do with it

The plot might have moved when you loaded it up for the day, otherwise I have no answer.

Well a plot on screen doesn't exactly confirm there will be a plot.. like when you first buy NL, the villagers on screen will not definitely be in your town..
It's that kind of thing, I think..

yea but when you first buy the game you dont actually have that town. i have this town, and ive seen hybrids multiple times on the loading screen which weren't there the day before, but were in my town when i loaded up

I guess, but you can sort of see what I mean, right? What you see on the screen won't be the final thing?

For me the screen is rarely what I get...
The game resets when you load your mayor I think, if it's a new day. That's how people do the resetting trick.

reset = plot resets. it could move or not be there at all. if it is a random move in there isn't 100% move in rate for the day.

Take the initial screen as a screen saver thing .....

Do you have 8 villagers? The game will force a ninth villager on you, but it doesn't have to be today. If you loaded as mayor and there is no plot, it decided it wasn't today. There may be one tomorrow. Might not be. The preview screen doesn't mean much. Even after I've loaded up as mayor, I can see rain on the preview and not have rain when I actually get into the game.

Yes the startup screen just shows you what could happen today but is not definitive.. Very commonly there is a campsite on the screen and when I load up its empty.

Yep the 9th villager doesnt move in definitely until 7 days have passed, so when you've gone on, it just hasnt been chosen again...
