Horrible night bug spawn?

During the day, my island is full with all of the daytime bugs, and I have no problem filling my inventory with them. However, when its hits 7pm, all of the daytime bugs leave, and only nighttime bugs spawn. As of now, I understand that there's a handful of bugs that have a chance to spawn at night. I am getting horrible spawns. It took me 10 minutes running around my island to find 6 bugs to catch. That's including all bugs, not just profitable ones. Does anyone else have this problem? I have over 350 flowers, so I don't know if that messes up where they'll spawn since man faced stink bugs/regular stink bugs spawn on flowers.

I was just about to post a thread about this. I've been playing at night solidly for the past two weeks, and tonight almost feels like a ghost town.

I have around 100 flowers, and they used to be full of man-faced stink bugs, and my coasts were literally lined with hermit crabs. I was getting several tarantulas too, and a boatload of emperor butterflies and tiger beetles.

Zero tarantulas and butterflies so far, just one tiger beetle, and around 3 man-faced stinkbugs and hermit crabs each. If this is as a result of the 1.1.3 update I may riot a little bit. It was fun to spend the night catching bugs without having to go on an island tour.

Haven't even seen an atlas moth and I have a fair amount of trees. Maybe they're going back to CF spawn rates [I never caught anything remotely rare playing CF, haha].

I have a feeling bug spawns were secretly nerfed in recent patches. I used to see tons of peacock butterflies during the day but now I only see a few per hour, even though my hybrid flowers have multiplied!

In twenty more minutes, I found an Atlas moth, six man-faced stinkbugs, and one regular stinkbugs. Even traveled to an island and only saw one waterbug [forgot my ladder so didn't catch].

Intentionally or not, my bugs aren't spawning anywhere. Maybe Animal Crossing is trying to get us to bed on time.

Yes! The spawn of night bugs was a lot better when I first got the game on release, even though i didnt have as many flowers. I just don't know if it's a glitch, or if it's intentional. I don't feel motivated to play at night either though because i make barely 5000 bells in 10 minutes... if im lucky! I still haven't seen the water bug yet! And I've only gotten one atlas moth :/. It sucks !

I think they were nerfed too! I wish they weren't though. I also relate with the peakock butterly statement! I have more blue and black hybrids then ever before! And I barely get them!

I felt this too tonight, I couldn't finish the "catch 5 bugs" goal thing for the life of me, I had to reboot the game and finally caught a hermit crab, of all things!

Dude same, my island used to be filled with butterflies and now at night I'll see one every now and then. :l

Well 1 thing is it is now April and not March. Emperor butterflies are gone and no other butterflies spawn at night iirc.
