Horizontal Scrolling

Has anyone noticed that when the screen scrolls horizontally on NH you get a horrible motion blur effect?

It's more noticeable whilst running at full speed. Look at trees and objects when running left and right, it blurs and gives me a headache.

I play on a big screen but the effect is definitely present even undocked on the Switch screen.

I just found an old video of City Folk and when the player runs sideways everything stays perfectly in focus. A backwards step if ever there was one.

Oh, so I'm not crazy. I don't really notice it when play handheld but on a bigger screen it looks so...bad. Sometimes I feel like I have a motion sickness, honestly

Indeed. It's not as noticeable in handheld due to the small screen size but it is there.

I'm disappointed as the game should really run at 60FPS. If Mario Odyssey can run and 60 then there is no excuse that this game doesn't other that pure laziness. Yes, that sounds harsh but there you go....

I play on a 75 inch screen and I haven't noticed it at all.

Oddly enough I notice it a lot more in handheld. My TV (65) doesn't cause me to feel ill like the handheld can.

I think for me it's more that it ruins the beautiful aesthetic of the game. A shame.
