Homepass Problems

I'm trying to do the dd-wrt router method, and I think I've done everything correctly. I can connect to the internet and the Nintendo Zone, but I don't get any StreetPasses. I'll list what I've done.
-Set the SSID to attwifi
-Disabled the security
-Turned on the Mac filter so only my 3DS can connect
-Set the Mac address for my router to 43:53:50:4F:4F:46 and I've also tried 43:53:50:4F:4F:48
-Connected my 3DS to my router (duh.)
Any suggestions on what I should try?
