Does anyone else just hoard Nintendo games and then not play them for a really long time?
I have this really really weird problem where I can't stop playing a game until I feel completely and utterly satistfied with it. I have to feel like I've done everything and anything. Like Pokemon X, I put around 250 hours into it before I finally set it down and said "okay. I'm done. I can play another game"
So I have probably around 40 DS/3DS games, three of which I have played fully through.
Around 20 GameCube games, 10 N64 games (all of which were bought recently) and my newly added WiiU games which I have about 5-7 games for.

So in total I have only played about 3-4 games and haven't touched any of the others. But I keep buying them as they come out for that day when I'll be ready to play it. XD

There's a few Virtual Console games I only played for a few minutes and never picked back up, but you can't really hoard something in an infinite quantity. :p
I haven't played much of Path of Radiance because I got it right before moving and I still don't know where my GameCube controllers are... I should probably just buy a cheap one off of Amazon because I want to play it again.

I have a bad habit of hoarding games that I would eventually get to play/beat, but then end up taking a much longer while than I should. I try to say myself that I'll get around on those titles, yet I often tend to get sidetracked by new games coming and as soon as I come across a particularly irritating or boring section.

Right now, I'm sitting at 177 unfinished games, with 80 I didn't even touch at all! I'm pretty much covered for a few years whenever I have nothing else to do, especially when I'll get too old to be able to actually work.

See. That's how I feel. My boyfriend and I are moving out soon. So it'll probably be tight for a little bit and we won't have cable right away. So I was like "I have enough games to keep me busy" but I never get to playing them because I keep playing and buying other games XD

I did before with retro consoles and games but sold off most around 2 years ago

I do tend to hoard games on Steam though...

When I was a bit younger and had a lot of consoles I would hoard games (N64, SNES, NES, GCN, Wii, Dreamcast), but after my mom's sudden garage sale hit many years ago I stopped. Now I just keep games I know I'll play every once in awhile. I'm not a huge game collector so if they're just going to sit on shelves I'm gonna get rid of 'em.
