Hitting the rocks for money?

Whats the most amount of money you've got from one rock? I'm just curious. I always seem to get 8,100 bells out of a rock and i can never get any higher than that. But i never dig some holes behind me before hitting it. Would i get more if I did that?

You would get more if you put holes in the back! I got 16k by doing that :>

It might depend on what shovel you have, maybe you would get more if you had a golden shovel?

You get 16100 bells, unless you get good luck, then it can double. Gold spade has no effect, silver spade can make ore pop out instead of bells, and gold ore can sell for 50k+

If you dig the holes behind you, you can hit it once more before the timer runs out, so you can get the last bag of 8k, meaning you can get a total pf 16,100 bells.

You'll get more bells if you dig 2 holes, one behind you and one next to the hole behind you, it prevents you from being pushed back because you lose bells with the time it takes you to walk back to the rock and hit it again.

You can get 16,100 bells at most. I normally get a little more with ores, because I'm never lucky enough to get a gold.
