Hide and Seek - villagers not hiding?!

So Bunnie asked me to play hide and seek, and I decided, "why not?" I found Bunnie no problem, and then I couldn't find the other two. And then I stumbled on both Coco and Genji because guess what?

They were just WALKING AROUND.

I have never experienced this before, so I dunno if it was just a glitch or what. I thought it could have been, but both Coco and Genji were wandering around, so I dunno.

Weird. When you talked to them did they give the "you found me!" dialogue or did they talk to you normally?

Weren't you out of time and the game ended? Though now that I remember... the only time I failed to find one of them and lost, she remained hidden until I actually found her

No, I found all of them in under three minutes, and both Coco and Genji gave me the standard "you found me!" dialogue...which is why it was so weird.

That happened to me once. Julian, who was playing, was just walking around and he acted startled when I found him while he was walking on the bridge. This only happened once though.

That never happened to me before, I've never even heard of that happening before to anyone.

That happened to me before. It also happened before where they just seemed to forget they had asked me to play hide and seek with them seeing as soon as the game started they just carried on as normal.
Anyway, I had marshal ask me for a game before and he was just wandering around the plaza but still did the 'you found me' dialogue. Assume it's just one of those funny glitches. Hoping things like that will be fixed with this update on the fall

That's super silly. Though I think Biskit did this with me, and I couldn't find him until the timer ran out. I was so pissed.

Dude. I KNOW the vanish and are probably hiding in a building because there have been times when I have looked everywhere and I cannot find them. Cheating little SOBs...

Okay but I have never seen any of my villagers do that so it might be rare? But kinda sounds really funny to me imo
There's only one bug that happened to me while doing hide and seek and that was once when one of my villagers was in a pitfall when one was explaining the rules about it and so there was the pitfall animation still going on and a pissed off villager hiding..

I've heard of some villagers hiding at the detached beach sometimes if you have a palm tree planted there. It's very sneaky of them.
