Hi.. So I'm new

Hi! I'm new to the website, hope to make friends and get helpful advice when needed.

New Leaf is the first animal crossing game I've ever played and I LOVE it. I first started my town on June 18th, 2014 but really messed up because I made all of my original villagers move out and just completely lost control of my town. I reset SOO many times to try and re-create my original town. Fast forward to November 24th, 2016 and I finally get a map that I am happy with. My cousin has helped hack this town to make it just as my first where my town fruit becomes peaches instead of pears, I hack my favorite flowers (pink carnations) all of the place, I change my train station roof to a blue one that was originally green, get my dreamies and move them all into one corner of the town, change the date on my TPC and LASTLY try to move my town tree into a different location. The problem with the last two changes is that I finally am able to upgrade my regular 3ds to a new nintendo 3ds XL, where hacking with homebrew isn't exactly a thing. I now want to try and see if I can put my tree back in its original place and change my TPC starter date back to November 24th, instead of June 18th. It may sound silly, but it really bothers me. So as of right now, I am trying to get together some information of how my cousin can help me update it with my version being 11.5.0-38U. If anyone could help me with advice or so, I'd really appreciate it!

First off, welcome to the forums! ^o^ I'm new here too and can say that I've had a great experience meeting everyone so far.

As far as advice goes, it is unfortunately prohibited to specifically discuss how to hack the game. I can tell you that you can't use your DS if you have the recent update, no exceptions.

Hi and welcome to The Bell Tree. Generally speaking, people here seem to be fine with hacking things such as town maps, but as mentioned above, it really isn't discussed much. The big no no with hacking here, is trading hacked items. I think you'd be fine trading your fruits, but it's probably best not to trade or sell your pink carnations in case people get a little angsty about that.

As for the forum currency, you get 10 seashells for signing up, and as far as I'm aware, you can't earn any more. Below you earn for posting, with longer posts earning you more.

Thank you! To be honest, I wasn't exactly thinking about trading my items much, I just love the pink carnations in my town and was a little impatient with breeding them. What exactly do the sea shells and bells do? Can you buy certain items with it?

Seashells and Bells allow you to purchase upgrades to your account, such as increased PM mailbox, change your username, queen your avatar size, etc. Or they can be used to buy vanity items, which I don't believe serve much of a purpose.

The forum shop is viewable on the menu bar on the top of the page.

I know I'm not meant to give you advice with hacking but if you know the spot where your town tree was you can take out your memory card and use a software to move things around add pwps change your river and stuff idk what it is but lots of ppl on youtube use it. Im not going to because you can risk messing up your game plus i dont even know how to take out my memory card, haha.. Plus i just dont like the idea of altering my game I like to get everything naturally and/or buying it on here in retail

I know exactly what you're talking about (I used the program but I won't say it or anything) But I completely understand as to why some people wouldn't, I just wanted to have all of my dream villagers in the same town and now I finally have them, I just need to fix my town tree spot in the plaza and my TPC starting date.
