HHA: Terrific or Terrible?

I started out trying SO hard to get a decent score on that thing. I got a few awards (pennant, jacket) and I have the bronze badge for it. But now that I've started to really customize my rooms to my exact vision, that irritating otter just keeps telling me stuff like: "This won't do! You need to have at least one complete set in each room! Too much stuff on the floor!" I mean come on, who has a complete set of furniture in EVERY room of their house? I barely have half of any specific set in one room in my house. XD

Is the HHA really worth it? I have no interest in getting the golden exteriors and don't have the patience to gut my rooms to fill them with "big point items," but I'm curious if anybody has actually completed it and what they got.

i personally havent got 100% on HHA, but it does get frustrating when i have all of the rococo furniture nicly placed and everything in everyroom and i only get like 100,000 points, i really dont care about scores on HHA, and i dont even talk to Lyle bc he takes so damn long to say a simple score. .-.

I'm pretty sure the actual score is within like his last two or three lines of dialog. Once I finished the Mermaid exterior, I refused to deal with that pesky raccoon or otter any longer.

Meh, but I hate it when they deliver their rewards when I reach a certain point. It clogs the space I have in my letters for my pockets cause they only appear once. Same goes for post office.

I've never been interested in the HRA/HHA aspect of Animal Crossing! I don't think the point system encourges creativity or originality; I like mixing and matching furniture that may not be from the same series. Plus I've never been interested in the prizes/rewards. It just doesn't appeal to me.

I had to get the highest points and the golden house, because I have to complete everything, but if you don't want the gold exterior or the prizes ( they arn't that great anyway ) then I wouldn't worry about it. Just decorate your house however you like.When I first got the game, my rooms were not how I wanted them for the longest time. When I had earned all the gold exterior, then I was finally able to decorate how I wanted.

I stopped caring about HHA like 5 days after I started the game hehe. It annoyed me because it was like blah point to blah points is ideal for your house but I just wanted to decorate my house the way I like it. So now I don't even talk to Lyle. Plus, his dialogue annoys me so much ugh

I don't care about HHA. I decorate my house to please me. I don't worry about themes and matching items, and I have lots of open space. I also don't care about badges: If I get one, okay. If I don't get one, okay.

When I first started playing animal crossing like almost 2 years ago I did listen to master Lyle at first, but as soon as I got my golden badge I had an almost instant renovation of all my home. I WON"T LET AN OTTER LEAD MY LIFE, thank you very much. I had one set in every room back when I was Lyle's brainless slave, that helped a lot to get the points.

I shoved all of my stuff in every room in my house like furniture tetris and I have 52k points. It helps to have your house huge to get more points.

I haven't even tried the HHA challenges for that exact reason. I have some full sets I could use but I don't care, I'd rather decorate my house the way I like it. I might try to complete the challenges one day when I'm bored with the game and looking for something to do but not in the near future.

I keep getting HHA letters in the mail saying that I've gotten points and that always confuses me.

I put the HHA into the same category as Resetti, just something unique that makes Animal Crossing Animal Crossing, it wouldn't be the same without it. I've been trying to raise my room score since it was the HRA, just to get special items from them. Personally, I think the gold exteriors are the best in this version, because they're only available to those who reached 1.2 million or higher. Plus, you can always put your house interior back the way it was after you unlock the option, but just having the gold display in someone's HHS is always a good feeling, knowing someone you StreetPassed is going to say "WOAH! This person like totally did the million point challenge!"- or something along those lines.

I've never been interested in the HHA or HRA.. I like decorating my house the way I want it. I haven't spoken to Lyle for over a year in my main town, haha.

I set up getting the badge and all the items for HHA as a main goals before really organizing my house. I set on the theme "rustic" as most sets and series on this theme fit my personal taste. It was fun, I got my badge, and after that I was free to do whatever I liked with my house!
