I know this might seem silly. But I've been plot resetting for Nate 28 times and he just set his plot like one inch from where i want it to be. should i just leave him there? or no? Please help!

Oh man it's such a struggle when this happens honestly. If it were me I would just leave him there and get creative with working with the extra space :)

I would just leave him there since the process is SO time consuming. ._.
However, if you feel like you still have some energy and patience, give it another go.

If it won't bother you too much i'd just let him stay and use the extra space. If it will bother you in the long run and you have the time/patience to keep going (i applaud you though if you do, i messed up plot resetting on two of my villagers and i regret it so much). then i say keep going

It's not silly at all, I plot reset for Cousteau for 2 days so I feel your pain. I lost count after 50 since I didn't want to name the new characters anymore lol

He placed himself really close, but never exactly in the 3x3 spot that I designated for him. He did place himself in an okay place like one square over to the left of where I wanted him. He was not on my path, but I knew that in the long run his place would bother me since I specifically placed him to be in line with Elvis and Tia as you can see on my map in the sig spoiler.

I would have settled for that spot after while because I didn't even know if he could possible go into that spot since the river is right in front. However, because the title screen showed it was possible for him to go into that 3x3 spot, I kept at it until finally he did move right where I wanted him to be.

It all depends though. If you're alright with where Nate is placed then keep it. If not, keep going. It might also help to power off the 3ds system to sort of "reset" the places that Nate places himself. I did that for Cousteau which seemed to help, but idk some people seem to dismiss that idea. It's worth a shot.

Just have lots of patience and don't try to plot reset when you're tired. Not a good idea especially since you might make a mistake like I did for poor Rod T-T. Good luck if you do keep going though!

Hey! Here's my opinion.
I would just leave him there. Unless, you don't mind the possibility of spending days the get him into the perfect spot.
Or if you're going to be so thrown off by him being just an inch away from perfection, I would continue to plot reset.
Where they plop their houses down doesn't really bother me. I'll work around it. Though, I've been pretty lucky with
my current town.

Wow, that's dedication! I've never tried to plot reset. I take my chances and let whoever wants to move in go where they want. Being only an inch away from "the perfect spot" sounds good enough to me, though.

It all depends on how much landscaping you put into your town. If you're someone that likes everything to be exactly in the right place then I would advise to take a break from plot resetting and do something else until you feel like you have the patience to return to it. I'm not a person that likes to plot reset since I have all my mule characters sorted out and it bothers me where villagers put their houses. If I could go back I would definitely recommend taking the time to plot reset. But it might not bother you later on.
Snowblizzard24 made a good point as to whether it would bother you later on in the game. If you feel that it would still be an annoyance 2 or 3 months then I would advise you to keep plot resetting. I hope this helped.

It really depends on what you want to do with that space. I would say leave him if you can deal with it, or if it would drive you crazy like it probably would with me, I would keep going. Haha, I'm so OCD. When I was creating my town I reset and reset for 3 days straight until I got a town that was absolutely perfect. Good luck!

Depends on how badly you want him to move! It could take days for you to get him in the perfect spot, but when you do it will feel awesome.

That happened to me with Blanche and I eventually just gave up and let her stay in that one spot...I really wish I would have kept going because I really don't like where she is now ;w;

Yeh, I don't think it would be worth it to continue plot resetting. I would just leave him as he is-after all, your town won't always be perfect!-but hey, it's your own choice c:

I would just let him move in there, except if you still have energy and patience to continue plot resetting.
I hope it doesn't really matter that much that he is a pixel next to the chosen spot and you can work around that.
When I gave up on plot resetting Flurry I had to remake a whole perfect pear orchard to meet the new miss residents horrible moving choice.
