Hi! I have searched around and have not been able to find an answer to my question / problem. My wife and I are playing ACNH on the same console. She is the main character. We have three new villagers coming in and I would like to help building the stuff for each plot. When I talk to Nook he tells me to talk to Laci (my wife’s character). How do I do that? She left a post on the message board for me but that didn’t do anything. When I go to the sites they do not provide anyway for me to do anything.
Any insight would be appreciated.
As the 2nd user you can’t do much. I personally made a list of what we needed and my family who live on the island helped out and dropped items by the relevant areas but as they don’t get the diys it was mostly materials.
Maybe the resident representative is the only one that can work on those plots? Or maybe you have to do the thing where you both play at the same time, using an app on your Nook phone in the game. I only have one player character myself, so I don't now how it works, but I know it's a thing.
Like others have pointed out. Secondary players on an island don't have nearly as much control. When it comes to the quest line. It's all in the hands of Resident Rep. Later though when transforming is unlocked. You will be able to help them change the island. You won't be able to move buildings but you can reform the land. You can plant trees and flowers as well removed them. You can place items around to help get 5 stars to. If you want to help her with materials or DIY furniture for the 3 plots as part of the story. You can always make the items or gather the materials and drop them off next to her house. So she can pick them up when she is on. Or play together just swapping leadership back and forth.
Sadly Nintendo did not do the best when it came to multiplayer. Fortunately events and interactions with villagers and special visitors are unique to each player. So say, Guliver washes ashore. Both of you can help him and get a special item mailed to you. You both can also do the wedding event separately to double your rewards.
