so my switch just died and i didnt save the game before it died...will i have to redo everything i did?

You may have lost a few minutes of progress, but this game autosaves periodically. Don't worry too much.

Hopefully the auto-save picks it up.
Are you sure it died-died? Sometimes when mine "loses power" it forcefully goes into sleep mode, meaning the game is still active where i had left it as if it just turned it on sleep mode in the middle of playing.
