Hello. So, a few days ago I started a thread where I asked for some help on getting rid of grass erosion. One of the methods suggested to me was TTing, and while I'd heard of that method before I was always wary of trying because, a) I'd done it before in Wild World and had a bad experience with it, and b) I don't know how to properly do it, which brings me to asking for help now.

First and foremost I just want to ask if TTing definitively works on getting rid of grass erosion in your town because if it doesn't then I will have no reason to TT. Now, if TTing does in fact get rid of erosion, I need help on how to properly TT, and how far into the future I would need to TT in order for the erosion to go away.

General questions I have on TTing; do I need to talk to all my villagers to make sure none of them will move, or will one of them ping me and that's good enough? Is there a way to guarantee, with absolute certainty, that none of your villagers will move? What are the dangers of time travelling, aside from villagers moving?

Any help is much appreciated ^^

From what I've been reading, it is safe for you to TT ahead if you do it right after you turn down someone's moving ping (telling them to stay). Not immediately right after; you can still play for the day but TT ahead before you start the next day (past 6 a.m.).

I'd wait til other users to confirm this, as it's been forever since I've done this myself ;__;

But pretty sure, yeah grass erosion should go away when you TT ahead pretty far. Keep in mind that there are some permanent spots where grass won't grow.

Okay, thank you ^^ I will wait for a few other people to confirm this as well, just so I can be sure. Yeah, I know about the permanent spot and they honestly don't bug me at all, it's just the grass erosion that forms that annoys me =_=

Yes I can confirm this^^

Grass erosion definitely goes away if you TT far enough ahead (I've been cycling through / plotting villagers a lot lately so I've been needing to fix the spots left behind by deleted character houses)

I'm not sure how far ahead until it's entirely gone, but if you deny a request to move it shouldn't matter how far ahead you go. Just make sure to get the "i missed you, ____" dialogues out of the way and check for anyone looking to move out when you go ahead.

Okay, well thank you ^^ I'm still going to think on TTing a bit and debate on whether I want to try it or not (with my luck I'd screw it up somehow), but this is definitely helpful~

Is it just one villager that will ping me, or will it be multiple? I've seen people say 2 weeks is enough, and I've seen people say that months ahead is enough, so I'm not too sure how far ahead to travel either, but maybe someone else will know.

If you have plenty of grass erosion, you maybe should try to travel one month. It is just one villager that will ping to move out.

Alright, thank you ^^ Next time a villager pings me I might try it I might not, I just really want the erosion to go away; it's extremely unattractive.
