Hello, I'm TTing right now, trying to get this villager Francine out, because she put her house right in front of the town hall and it's annoying the crap out of me xD

Anyway, there is only 8 villagers in my town right now and I know that there can be a random villager moving in, but if I TT like 6 days ahead, is there a chance that the random villager already will be moved in? Like the house is ready and everything. Or does it not move in untill I actually play on a new day?

I'd be really happy for answers!

I believe that if you do TT 6 days ahead, the villager would move in already but I'm not sure. I never tried it before. It's best to just TT one day at a time tho so you won't lose any villagers.

Yeah but I'm trying to get rid of villagers.. :P Two of them. I don't really care if a new one moves in, but I don't want the new one to move in on a stupid spot xD So I'm unsure if I have to worry about that and tt one day ahead and plot reset every time, or if I only have to do it once

If you want the new villager to be in a good spot then I would say start with a new character for each new day. Load up your mayor at 5:58am then once you do, end quickly. After that then start a new file and do everything you would do to get the character you want. Once you get out of the train, look through out your town. If you don't see a new house plot then no one is moving in and you can quit the game and you can play as normal. If you do see a new house plot and it's not in a good place, then you can plot reset. Does this make sense? It's hard for me to explain stuff ;-;

What I've done in the past when expecting a random move in has always worked, so Imma pass this information on to you.

Basically, set your 3DS clock 7 days ahead of today. So you'd set it to August 9th, for example. From what I've heard, a random move-in is ALWAYS guaranteed on the seventh day, so you can plot reset whilst knowing that a random is coming. After you've set the date, just create your new save file and walk around the town to see where the new plot is at, and if it's in a bad place, just quit without saving and repeat the process!

If you just randomly TT to the 6th day and load up your mayor, there is a VERY good chance that a villager will have plotted and you won't be able to do anything about it. Setting your clock 7 days ahead, creating a new save, and looking around to make sure no one plotted in a bad place is the safest way to go about it. Once you get a move-in that isn't in a terrible spot, talk to Isabelle and get your house plotted in your map. Doesn't have to be anywhere special, just plop it down in an empty spot. Talk to Isabelle again and she'll give you your TPC and save the game, thus cementing the move-in's plot. After this, you can save and quit, load up the new save file, select "I Need Help First..." and choose to demolish your home to delete the save. Your random move-in will still be in the same plot that you left it since you saved the game before deleting your new save.

After all of this is done, switch your 3DS clock back to normal so things don't get wacky when you try to load your game, load up your mayor and make sure the date is set back to normal, and then voila! Your 9th villager will be in a not terrible place and you can TT to get your unwanted villager out without worrying about a random move in.

Yeah I know how to plot reset :) But okay, I think I'll TT to each day and load a new save, just so no one comes and screws up my plans XD Thanks for answers!
