Help with Town Planning

I've had my current town for about 3 months now and I've finally decided to really get into planning my towns layout. The next PWP I want to build is the Police Station but I'm not 100% confident about where to put it because seeing as it can't be removed I don't want to put it somewhere terrible. I would really like to hear other people's opinions about where they think would be a good place to put it or what they though of where I was considering and would love it if some people would visit a dream of my town. My Dream Address is 6900-6882-0695. I was thinking of putting it between my Roost and Train Station or on the other side of the path north of Hugh's house.

I would also love to hear anyone's opinions in regards to the placement of other PWPs to put in my town, especially my Wisteria Trellis, I'm not quite happy with it's placement. As for some ideas I was considering, I was thinking of putting a rose garden/picnic area north of my house and between Flora's house and the river and having a playground like area in the empty space north of my plaza. Also Cousteau will be leaving eventually. But if you have any ideas you don't have to take these ones into consideration.

First off, you should cut down all the trees that are on your paths. I kept bumping into them because, well, they are ON the paths! It's too bad you can't move the cafe, then you could have put the cafe on the left side of town hall and the police station to the right. As it is, if you put it between the cafe and the train station at least the cafe won't be all by itself at the northwest corner of town.

The wisteria trellis is in a terrible spot, right on a path. You could demolish the bench and put it in front of your Mayor's house or build it in a green space. Just not blocking paths, especially so close to a bridge. If you build a park area you could "fence in" the park using bushes and flowers, and the trellis could be the entrance to the park.

Thanks for your help, I agree the trees are annoying, I've been hoarding up saplings the last few weeks so I can just deal with them as one big project. For the Wisteria Trellis I like using it like a garden arch that's why it's on the path, but yeah it is really annoying there, clearly wasn't the best choice. I love your idea of using it as an entrance for the park.

you can't remove the police station?!?!?!?! EVER?!??!?! one of my dreamies moved right in front of it and I thought nothing of it because I thought I could delete it and then re-add the station when I was ready to start landscaping and setting everything in stone. NOOOO!!! are you sure?!?!

Yeah sorry to hear that but unfortunately it is permanent, kinda annoying isn't it.
