So, Julian's plot showed up today, and I'm currently plot resseting to get him in a nice spot.

The problem is that the plot only shows up in two different and equally horrible spots, again and again. It's the reset trick limited that way? There's plenty of space in other parts of the town so why isn't it showing up anywhere else?

There could be rocks, paths, or other things possibly blocking the way preventing him from moving in those other areas but if not then he?s probably just being stubborn they tend to go to the same few spots constantly. I?d say just be patient and persistent and eventually he?ll go where you want him to, good luck!

Wow he's being super stubborn then! I just hope this doesn't take all day haha

And the plot is actually showing up on top of paths, flowers, shrubs and trees, and avoiding the clear spaces! My hypothesis is that the open space I want him to go in is close to two other villager houses, so I'm assuming that since the game wants villagers to be spread around town it might be avoiding that spot. But we'll see! Thanks for the help!

If he constantly keeps going to those spots, I recommend time traveling to 5:55am with your mayor logged in to inspect. Villagers will always plot where there is a 3x3 space. I recommend having paths and random qrs spread throughout the town so he?ll be extremely limited and likely go where you want him to plot. Make sure there aren?t Pwps or 3-4 villagers with the same radius. Villagers can?t move into an area if there?s too many villagers and Pwps close by and the game will limit that.

I used this strategy for my second town and it hasn?t failed. Every time a villager would plot to an unexpected spot, I?d log in with my mayor to 5 minutes before 6am to sort it out. Good luck! :)

Edit: just noticed your most recent post! Villagers will not plot their house if your town has paths or any random qr codes. They?ll always plot on top of flowers, trees, and bushes. The only way villagers would plot on top of paths is if there aren?t any 3x3 spaces and the game will force him to go on top of paths. Other than that, you?ll be good!

i have done it where it took forever before they finally moved away from the spot i didn't want them to build on. i seriously thought maybe i didn't leave enough space on the desired spot or something else but eventually, the game / villager got my point. LOL

it can be super frustrating though. >:<

Wow I never heard of this before! I think I'll try it!
Then I can just replace the flowers and trees in the spots the house keeps plotting in with designs.

Can you help me through it though? It kinda scares me to risk Julian in something I never done before...
If I load my Mayor and change the time to 5:55 am, do the whole designs thing, can I still plot reset afterwords? And won't the plot show up if I'm still playing as the Mayor by the time the clock hits 6am?

Yep, keep the date the same but load it anytime between 12am-6am with your mayor. Once you put up enough QRs, save and quit with your mayor (make sure it's before 6am) and then plot reset when it's after 6am. It's worked for me every time without issue. For me, I personally placed QRs all over my town (I kept my paths but in areas that didn't have any, I'd place a random QR every two spaces). It's a little time consuming but makes plot resetting so quick and easy afterward.

Let me know if you have any more questions. :)

Oh wow it worked soo well!

I spread around a bunch of designs on the spots that the plot kept showing up and when I tried plot resetting again it showed up on the place I wanted on the first try!

Thank you so much for that tip! It really helped me out, thank you! :D

Aww, yay! I'm glad it helped you! :D

Also wanted to throw out there that plot resetting can take all day, even if you get everything sorted out correctly. I once eliminated every spot possible in town to put Biskit where I wanted him and he started moving in over paths, despite the fact that there was nothing around the spot I wanted him in. Eventually I just gave up because I had been plot resetting for 7 hours and I was like nah.

Yeah, I had already conformed to the fact that I would probably be doing it until it drives me insane, but luckily the patterns thing worked out pretty well
