Help with Petaltail Dragonfly

I have been trying to find this thing for the past few hours now, my game is in Sepetember and it's 5pm but it's not showing up. Should I cut down trees to make it easier, or is there another way. I have also read that if you invite someone to your town it becomes easier does that work? I will take any help I can

Make sure to check the beach and ponds. I had a hard time with one player and didn't find it one on the first day.
Played the next day and found one in 10 minutes.
Bug off is a good day to catch one.

look around your rivers and ponds- as they are ususally near water, best of luck!

Wow mine is different, I find them everywhere and im in July, well before I reset I did, they were actually annoying me! But actually now ive reset I havent found one in a whole day! Which probably isn't unusual in your perspective but im not really used to it lol!

Oh and like the person above look near water and also try keeping the area around ponds clear of too many trees, before I got rid of the trees I couldn't find any though that might of been a coincidence but try it anyways

I found it! Turns out I was just REALLY unlikely and it finally spawned near the river. Good thing it so easy to catch.
