ok got a pic of it WIN_20150805_230540.jpg this is how it looks does anybody know why?

Have you dropped it at all? The only thing I could think off is a loose connection with the battery (the random turning off), and the screen I can't really explain.

No I haven't dropped it at all it just started out of nowhere

UPDATE
My Brother finally open my 3ds up and it was wet in there so thats why it kept shutting off &nd stuff thanks for the help everyone
Now im just really pissed off

well there's not any water damage thank god but its still cutting off when it's opened up all the way it cuts off so i think it something wrong with the lever/ so imma gonna fill out an repair form and hope for the best

Do you still have your warranty? If you do, repairs will be a lot cheaper of even free; if you don't, it can get rather pricey depending on how bad the situation is.

Also, note Nintendo can't preserve everything on your 3DS (when repairing). If you have digital games and save files, be prepared in case you lose anything! Also, some games such as Pok?mon and Animal Crossing: New Leaf have save-protection for their digital versions. So if you make a PC backup and then play AC:NL (digital), bringing the backup to your card could corrupt your town as the PC backup became null as soon as the game saves. Of course, you may not even own anything important digitally so ignore this if you do =P
