I'm writing a character sketch essay about a famous person you have met which is formatted like this. 1st paragraph, experience, 2nd description, and 3rd creative. I'm not a avid writer. I'd appreciate help. This is where I'm at.

For the first time, I had followed my dad to a golf tournament. The Arnold Palmer Invitational. We picked up a few balls and hats in hopes of getting them signed by golf legends. A crowd had formed in the midst of the tournament, so we couldn’t help but check it out. Although we bumped and bustled through the crowd in our curiosity; it was all worth it when we saw “The King,” Arnold Palmer himself. He was taking a chip shot for a chance at birdie. The crowd gasped. Despite his old age he effortlessly made the chip shot. The crowd immediately cheered. While Mr. Palmer was going to the next hole, the people scrambled toward him to try and snag a signature. He only signed three fortuitous people as I bet it was really overwhelming for a man of old age.

He was an portly old man with with dark brown skin and coarse white hair, but he always had with himself a great big smile all the time. He was inviting and the sort of person you just want to hug. Despite his old age he still had a passion for golf and he had great charisma. He was a people’s man.

Help with what? Grammar?

I've never written a character sketch essay in my life. I have no idea what "1st paragraph, experience, 2nd description, and 3rd creative" means.

I'm happy to help, though I'll need a bit more guidance.

I've never heard of a "character sketch" essay, but I'd be willing to assist you, as I have reasonably knowledge in other areas of writing compositions.

I would have to echo what Jarrad says here though, it would be beneficial to all involved if you supply us with more information, particularly as to what you need help with.

So the format is, an intro, the story you are telling, describing the person, and then a creative interpretation?

Just want to verify. I've done character essays in writing classes, but not ones set up this way :)
