So, I've not been playing AC:NH since May 25th (or around that).
I'd like to catch up by time traveling so I can continue playing and catch up with all the new stuff so I don't miss anything. Other than catching all bugs/fish for each month, which periods of time I should time travel into to get all the stuff from events and such?

Each month so far has had at least one fishing/bug tourney per month. If you're in the Northern hemisphere, give me a sec and I'll check my bulletin board to see if I can find the exact dates!
EDIT: Well, the July Bug-Off is the 25th, but I'm afraid I've TTed so much I can't tell you June's dates anymore
There was a wedding event with Reese and Cyrus that lasted the entire month of June, but I remember reading that it doesn’t appear if you TT back. There was a lot of cute furniture from it, so you’d have to trade with someone if you want any of it. The only other thing I can think of are the Fishing Tourney/Bug-Offs that you missed. Also don’t forget to go diving for the limited time creatures too. I know some of them disappear in June so make to get them before moving onto July.
June was the wedding event but I'm not sure if it's still there? The entire month had Reese and Cyrus at Harvey's Island and you could do photoshoots with them to earn heart crystals and trade for wedding furniture.
July added swimming, you can trade oysters with Pascal and he'll sometimes give you mermaid DIY. Pirate Guliver also appears now and he gives out pirate DIY. But both of these you don't need to time travel to July for.
Edit: not sure if this is what you meant, but other people have mentioned bug off and fishing tourney too, there's been 2 of each so far!
