Help with C-Gear

I bought pokemon black several weeks ago and I don't know if it is a problem or if my game card is broken but when I turn off my C-gear and then turn it on it doesn't grab any wi-fi signal so it doesn't starts, what could be hapenning Someone think it may be the game card?

when you turn on the c-gear, i says the warning thing, tap the screen. the wifi stuff and whatnot should be on the bottom screen to tap, you'll notice the icons change color depending on their availability/whatnot.

You can also change the form of the icons, but I can't remember how, kinda off topic, but whatever.
